📅 Date and Location
Date: 09 – 16 September, 2025
Location: Międzybrodzie Bialskie, Poland – Beskid Mały Mountains
The exchange will bring together youth from Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Italy for a week of intercultural learning through food, storytelling, local traditions, and green practices. Through workshops, culinary labs, and field visits, participants will explore how food can foster inclusion, sustainability, and dialogue.

- Cooking and sharing traditional dishes
- Workshops on sustainability, food justice, and zero waste practices
- Field trip to explore the culinary heritage of Silesia
- Cultural evenings and storytelling around food
- Hackathon to create an international recipe e-book
🎯 Learning Objectives (SMART)
- Intercultural competence: By the end of the exchange, each participant will be able to describe at least 3 food traditions from other partner countries and explain their cultural meaning, based on national presentations, cooking sessions and cultural evenings.
- Dialogue & teamwork: During the project, each participant will take part in at least 2 activities based on storytelling and mixed-nationality teamwork, strengthening communication, empathy and cooperation in an international group.
- Zero-waste skills: During culinary workshops, each participant will apply at least 3 practical zero-waste actions (e.g., full-use ingredients, portion planning, reducing leftovers/packaging), and reflect on the results in a short group debrief.
- Sustainability & food justice awareness: By the end of the exchange, participants will identify at least 3 links between food choices and their social/environmental impact (e.g., food waste, local production, access to food), discussed during the workshops and group reflection.
- Planning & responsibility in practice: Each international team will create a simple cooking plan (roles + tasks + shopping list) and carry it out during the joint cooking activities.
- Digital skills & project results: By the end of the project, each team will deliver at least 1 complete recipe contribution (recipe + cultural story/context + sustainability tip) and prepare 1 short multimedia piece (e.g., a short video) to support the international recipe e-book.
- Learning reflection (Youthpass): During the final evaluation, each participant will name at least 3 skills/competences they developed during the exchange as a basis for their Youthpass learning outcomes.
