The project seeks to foster long-term partnerships between participating organizations and promote an eco-friendly lifestyle in local communities. Participation in the initiative will provide valuable experience and skills to participants, as well as contribute to raising awareness about environmental protection on a larger scale.
The project’s goal is not only to raise short-term environmental awareness but also to create lasting effects by continuing the social campaign after its conclusion and inspiring further pro-ecological and educational initiatives among both participants and their local communities. The project includes a youth exchange with 30 participants from six countries: Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Czechia, Latvia, and Italy. Planned activities include ecological workshops, digital workshops, cultural evenings, study visits, excursions, and a field game. A key element will also be the creation of a social campaign promoting ecology, sustainable development, and culture.
The project anticipates that participants will gain knowledge about ecological practices, develop their competencies, and increase their awareness of sustainable living. Collaboration with the Youth Council of the City of Żywiec will enable the exchange of knowledge and experiences, enhancing ecological awareness in the local community. Youth involvement in the project will help build lasting relationships and joint ecological and social initiatives. The project aims to create long-lasting effects through the continuation of the social campaign after its completion and to inspire further pro-environmental and educational actions both among participants and in their local communities.
Meet Our Partners
The #GreenTrending project is driven by a powerful alliance of youth-oriented organizations across Europe, united by a shared mission: to inspire a generation of young people to embrace sustainability, ecological awareness, and creative activism. Each partner contributes unique strengths, expertise, and cultural perspectives, making our consortium as diverse as the challenges we aim to address.
The coordinating organization is Spółdzielnia Socjalna Zielone Śląskie from Gliwice, Poland — a socially driven cooperative with over a decade of experience in eco-education, vocational training, and youth inclusion. Since 2014, it has been actively empowering both young people and adults through workshops on green skills, zero-waste practices, and inclusive community engagement. Known for its strong local roots and innovative educational methods, the cooperative leads the project with professionalism, creativity, and care — ensuring that every aspect of the initiative is both impactful and inclusive.
Other partners supporting the initiative include: Youth and World z.s. (Czech Republic) – a young, creative NGO focused on non-formal education, social inclusion, and the Sustainable Development Goals;
ASOCIATIA SE POATE (Romania) – an experienced organization empowering youth through ecological education, entrepreneurship training, and international mobility;
Easysustainability (Italy) – a future-oriented network supporting green careers and youth-led environmental innovation;
Do-Re-Mi Music Studio (Latvia) – an artistic NGO using music and performance to communicate ecological messages in creative and engaging ways.
Together, this diverse partnership creates a strong foundation for achieving the project’s goals: to inspire lasting ecological awareness, foster intercultural understanding, and empower young people across Europe to take meaningful action for the planet.
